I was trying to say that although the friend would describe himself as a post-Keynesian, he was sufficiently persuaded by Palley's critique of Piketty to send me a link to it. In other words, even though he is no Marxist, he found the assumptions of Piketty's book flawed. My guess is that there is widespread dissatisfaction with the book by people who would seem its biggest fans not so much on the basis of its findings (obviously it is a good thing that inequality is being attacked) but on its theoretical foundations and inability to see beyond private property. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
