Michael: This is probably true since their work lives are so
compartmentalized in Japan. Having said that though I know a few colleagues
when they go abroad for conferences their spouses often accompany them.
Recently the Japanese government is taking the step to make it illegal if
Japanese men do not take annual vacations!
