From a news report: Tsipras was criticised by Germany’s vice-chancellor in the Merkel coalition, Sigmar Gabriel. He accused the leftwing Syriza government of allowing the wealthy and the oligarchs to suck the country dry and take "billions" out of the country. "Who's liable for this money? Workers in Germany, among others." He said Europe was doing nothing but throwing money at "this corrupt state". http://www.theguardian.com/business/2015/jul/01/greece-crisis-berlin-blasts-tsipras-scapegoats-germany
Herr Gabriel could play the class card (from the same deck as the race card) only because Tsipras has in fact torn himself apart. Social democrats can hit capital, but not too hard. _______________________________________________ pen-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l
