(There's a position open in my very comradely department here at University of KwaZulu-Natal, a job which has just been readvertised for /*immediate*/ consideration of applications. This post below asks for a "research specialisation in one or more of the following areas: macro-economics, the informal sector, social policy, and international finance or public finance." But I think any interests and publication/teaching track record in development, political economy and state-society relations will be considered. Affirmative action is a strong criterion, rightfully so. It's an excellent department with wonderful faculty, fine students and an amazing city and region as its laboratory. The university is usually ranked amongst Africa's top four. And the climate here is probably Africa's most pleasant, with beaches and mountains making for excellent recreation.)

The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) is committed to Employment Equity.
