"We Greeks are the blacks of Europe" - Yanis Varoufakis. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/aug/23/yanis-varoufakis-convicted-high-treason-interview-greece-finance-minister-syriza You should not puzzled by this. There is a simple and straightforward reason for the Greece fixation - it is something new. Honduras and Haiti - especially the latter - being oppressed and exploited is nothing new. That's what has always happens to dark-skinned people and nations who dared to resist the hegemonic power in the modern world. Bringing that same treatment to Greeks - light-skinned Europeans - that is something truly new. -raghu.
