I don't see it as an attack on the Tobin tax. There is in fact only one critique of the Tobin tax in once sentence of a single comment (not by LP). I would add that I don't find the critique convincing, but in all fairness a one sentence analysis can't be expected to complete or in depth. I don't see why a tax on financial transactions would give workers more of a stake in finance than an income tax that derived much of its income from profits made by such transactions, or a wealth tax on wealth much of which is derived from such profits. At any rate the argument is not LPs, though he may have critiqued the Tobin tax elsewhere. > -- > Ron > > > _______________________________________________ > pen-l mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.csuchico.edu/mailman/listinfo/pen-l > > -- Facebook: Gar Lipow Twitter: GarLipow Solving the Climate Crisis web page: SolvingTheClimateCrisis.com Grist Blog: http://grist.org/author/gar-lipow/ Online technical reference: http://www.nohairshirts.com
