There's a curious backstory to this article. In its original online
version, it referred to 'left economists." Later yesterday, the online
version changed to "some economists," only to be superseded in print by the
headline you cite. A more accurate headline would read "Economists
supporting Hilary Clinton disagree with Sanders' plan," but that, of
course, lacks the requisite insidiousness.

Subject: [Pen-l] "Leftist" Economists Attack Sanders Single-Payer
planaccording to the NYT (??)

Reading the NY Times article, you would think Austen Goolesby and Henry
Aaron are "leftists".

What "leftist chat room" does Aaron frequent?

And what's with Jared Bernstein attacking Jerry Friedman's analysis ---
It's one thing to focus on the idea that Sanders' Medicare for All would
have rough sledding in Congress (so would ANY proposal to improve Obamacare
unless the House flips). It's another to suggest that it's economically
unfeasible.

Is there an on line petition in support of Jerry's work?
