Lou, just as a bit of advice, I really wouldn't bother reading weblogs. The damn things take up an unreasonable amount of your time and they're usually crap. Henry Farrell isn't execrable; he's actually a bloody nice bloke. He's politically of the soft left, but so are about a million people who don't have weblogs and you wouldn't bother starting a fight with them.
I've maintained one for something like three years now and I'd love to have those three years back to do something more worthwhile. It's not a bad hobby, but to be honest I just do it for the pleasure of starting arguments with people on subjects about which I know more than they do, which when you write it down in black and white is a pretty silly way to spend your free time. There have been about five worthwhile things written on or about weblogs in the history of weblogs. I guess my point is that if I had tapped you on the shoulder and said "Hey Lou, there's a liberal history professor at Swarthmore who doesn't like Ward Churchill" you would have responded "Why are you wasting my time? Of course there is, 99% of soft left history professors probably think the same but that doesn't mean I have to give a bollock about it". This would be the correct reaction, and the simple fact that he is able to tell you himself via his website doesn't really change things that much. dd
