For the record, I don't think it is absurd that capitalism could cause 
opposites.  Life is full of contradictions.  Look before you leap, but he who 
hesitates is lost.  I do think it is ironic that the discussion of whether 
capitalism causes obesity coincided with the Los Angeles Times running a series 
on North Korea and how 2 million people recently died of starvation.
