Lou : I am not sure where you are going with this. The mainstream version is that suicide bombers flew jets into the WTC and the Pentagon because they were outraged over American domination of Islamic peoples. Is that so far-fetched?
^^^^ CB: Yes, motive is one part in proving a crime. We also want to know whodunnit. Several stand accused. Has the underlying fact that it was the 18 people (or whatever number) whose pictures were in the paper actually were the suicide bombers ? On motive, actually , the mainstream version is that the bombers were jealous of America's greatness and hated our freedom, by the way. "Outraged over American domination of Islamic peoples" is the leftwing version of events and motives, and it is not being broadcasted by the monopoly media. This is exactly my point. The mainstream version of 9/11 is not factual, not the whole truth as Lenin advises. The mainstream version is demogogy, clever half-truth. It must be interrogated. In the course of that interrogation, the Working Class' prosecutors must be allowed to freely hypothesize as to possible scenarios, different theories, without being harassed by people on the left squawking "conspiracay theory ! conspiracy theory !" with the current derogatory connotation of those words. Then , as you well know, there are various interrogations as to the acts or omissions of the U.S. secret police agencies with respect to the perps, U.S. spies' foreknowledge,etc. The whole truth would have to include the relationship of the U.S. spy apparatus to the events. It is not an unimportant _fact_ of the whole truth that Bin Laden was once in a C.I.A operation in Afghanistan as a socalled freedom fighter, and it is not farfetched that he could still be connected. (Can anyone ever leave the Company ? It may be 1960's lore and legend that one cannot.) At any rate, it is not farfetched that the fascist sector of the U.S. executive of the bourgeoisie could have had foreknowledge to stop the attacks , and did not stop them because it knew it would get a big swing to the right from the U.S. masses out of the attack, and an opportunity to carry out many rightwing programmatic measures, as has happened since 9/11. It is important to understand that the U.S. ruling class and its agents are the most ruthless mass murderers in existence, and are capable of this type of conduct. It is important to believe that they are capable of sacrificing thousands of innocent Americans in those buildings for the political advantage it would give them. They are very good at political crimes, and do them with plausible deniability, such that even you wouldn't suspect them. Their management of all this is conscious and flexible enough to make rapid decisions, to pick up an opportunity as it quickly presents itself to them. Those are _facts_ with systemic implications. In terms of the big picture,the Al Q types and U.S. fascists have been in league in the past. Both Al Q and the U.S. fascists are rightwingers that gained politically from the 9/11 events.
