I mentioned before that my father is about to turn 95. He lives in a gated community in Boca Raton. The hurricane hit pretty badly. Neighbors that he hardly knew came around and removed a large tree branches in his driveway and then took a leaf blower to clean it so that he could avoid slipping. They were surprised by the generosity.
His next-door neighbor, Jean Shackelford's cousin, has always gone out of his way to help my father. He took an extension cord from his generator so that my father could have an outlet for lamp or a toaster. -- Michael Perelman Economics Department California State University Chico, CA 95929 Tel. 530-898-5321 E-Mail michael at ecst.csuchico.edu
