I like it best presented in fuller quote. But, I have a question, What does Marx mean by "demonstrates ad hominem"? "Theory is capable of gripping the masses as soon as it demonstrates ad hominem, and it demonstrates ad hominem as soon as it becomes radical." ^^^^ CB: Good question. I always sort of slide over it in my mind with a vague thought that it is literally "to a living human person", that theory somehow concretely impacts an actual concrete human, not just an abstract human. But that's not very precise.
