Aren't there two levels of Sraffians?  His assumption of equilibrium conditions 
are
perfectly justified, given his subtitle, "Prelude to a Critique of Economic 
Theory."

Even granting the absurd assumptions of economic theory, reswitching shows that 
it
does not hold water.

Later Sraffians moved into policy ideas, becoming more Ricardian than Sraffian. 
 Here
they stand on more shaky ground.
