I had a response to that on ANOTHER list... Short form... Mr. Galloway
himself is underestimating  the intelligence of the people in the Middle
East with that comment, that they have an "internalized colonial
mentality". That in itself is a rascist statement., not a statement of
psychological or sociological fact.

It takes a long time for the 'colonist' to get over their 'mentality',
perhaps longer than the colonized.

Internalized nostalgia, something the colonized usually don't have a
problem with, once they've thrown the yoke away.
