Unfortunately, this is just the start. Now you will have to (and I think there is actually a page out there that lists all this nonsense): a) "Claim" your blog on technorati.com, so you can see how well you rank! (http://www.technorati.com/) b) Use technorati tags in your posts so they get picked up c) Setup RSS and email feeds for your blog at FeedBurner and FeedBlitz (http://feedburner.com/ http://feedblitz.com/) d) Get a "real" blog post editor. That's Ecto (http://ecto.kung-foo.tv/) if you can pay for it, else there is w.Bloggar (http://wbloggar.com/), the Firefox Performancing plugin (http://performancing.com/), or any of Qumana, the Flock browser, Bleezer, etc (I believe MarsEdit is over-rated, YMMV). e) Create your own Flickr, del.icio.us and other sets of links that can then be linked to into your blog sidebar. f) Add all sorts of chicklets and other graphics g) Then get into the second round of customizations, with Haloscan comments, site meter, etc. ;-) You may also wish to use WordPress.com's backup/download feature to download your blog and back it up to your disk or a CD, every now and then. --ravi -- Support something better than yourself: ;-) PeTA: http://www.peta.org/ GreenPeace: http://www.greenpeace.org/ If you have nothing better to do: http://platosbeard.org/
