FWIW, I don't think anyone should bother seeing Woody Allen's new movie, "Scoop." One sign of a mediocre movie is that enjoyment of it is hurt by having seen the trailer. There's one very good line in the movie (about the Woody Allen character's religious persuasion), while I found several of the major plot twists (not seen in the trailer) to be very predictable. (I tend to get totally absorbed in movies and thus fail to predict such twists. This movie is an exception.) Otherwise, it's total (upper-class white) fluff. It's not as good as "Pirates of the Caribbean2," even though the latter is about 50% too long. Johnny Depp is funnier than the entirety of "Scoop."
