TIAs or Transient Ischemic Accident(s) [i.e. small strokes that
(apprently) do no damage], a series of them over a year or two, was what
scared the shit out of me, but none for awhile now. The hell of it is I
don't have _any_ of the predisposing symptoms (high cholesterol, high
blood pressure, overweight). And because of the blood thinner I'm
taking, even a minor cut can bleed profusely. I bit my tongue a month or
so ago and had to hold a surgical sponge (wad of gauze) in my mouth for
an hour.

Anti-inflammatory painkillers do cause stomach bleeding in many people.
