Wonder if it has anything to do with the gender ratios of the lists
you've posted your billets doux to? I really doubt that many feminist
women would have much time for praising Iran.

I've posted much the same things to my blog, too, which is Googled and
available to all, and so are all listserves to which I post regularly,
as this one is.  (I regularly get messages  about my postings from
lurkers and people who look at archives.)  There have been also a few
women who have taken the trouble to express their disagreement with
me, but their responses are calm and political, not emotional and
obsessive.  Men generally can't disagree with women without getting
worked up on almost any topic, but certain topics and certain manners
of speaking tend to push buttons.
