Being an outsider with insider observations, I
have never understood why my beloved virtual
friend Tom Walker chose to use Sandwichman as his
alias. What does Sandwichman mean in plain
English my friends, since I do not know what it
means?

By the way, Carrol is right:

>>>
Empirically (I don't know what the causal grounds
are) it seems that the u.s. public is obsessed
with "making people pay."
<<<

This is a terrible obsession that hurt most
meaningful human closeness. Here in Turkey males
can kiss and carres each other, hold hands, walk
in arms, so and so forth, and nobody would think
that they are "fagots" or such. Same goes for the
females. This is not to say that there is no
homophobia, hatred of the "other" or what have
you here but obsession with "making people pay"
is not what I observe as a generalizable trait.

Another observation of mine is that there are
fewer policemen here on the streets than I used
to see in the US a few weeks ago. Which one is
more of a police state:

The "undemocratic" Turkey or the very
"democratic" US?
