Oh, and most of my friends here and in the Middle East are Marxist/
radical cosmopolitan sorts. They're internationalists and
secularists. I realize that that's not exactly a popular position,
either in Ohio or the Middle East, but so be it. Those seem
principles worth defending, instead of playing along with whatever
looks convenient at the moment.
Defend the principles from whom, though? And how?
