in fairness, doesn't Hizbullah have petrodollars from Iran to throw
around, whereas Bush simply serves the oil industry and its allies?
(Iran can use its petrocash for political purposes, since its
government isn't a profit-maximizing entity the way corporations are.)

More than a year has passed and for many people in New Orleans the government 
has
done little or nothing.  Only a couple days passed before Hezbollah moved in and
began acting.  It may be that the US, fearing the ramifications of Hezbollah may
actually move faster in Lebanon than in New Orleans.
