I agree with what Marvin and Paul have to say. Harper
is a great fan of Bush and US foreign policy on the
whole although he has made a lot of noise about
sovereignty in the Northwest Passage. However, he has
also vastly increased military expenditure that will
no doubt be used to take some of the pressure off US
forces in areas such as Afghanistan. Harper would be
even more gung ho if it were not for the fact that he
is in a minority situation and the majority of
Canadians are not in favor of many of his policies.
   Harper is also out to wreck the Canadian Wheat
Board. Just recently he appointed a high profile
critic of the board to its board of directors!
   Harper has also cut a number of  social programs
and is a great believer in tax cuts and less govt.
spending unless it is on the military etc.
