right. of course. Capitalism is an almost-global mode of production,
so that the capitalist class is almost global. However, there are
competing elites (some of which have state power) within that class.
Some elites form coalitions rather than competing, of course, such as
that of the Bushmeisters and the Israeli state.

CB; What's your take on this other issue I raised here. It is important to
analyze and define the ruling class in terms of its relation with the ruled
class and the class struggle ?

The state does many things, but most of them do not favor one class or the
other in the class struggle. We should confine our analysis of the ruling
class dominance of the state to the issues that allow the capitalists to
dominate and exploit the working class.
