It qualifies as free speech as far as I'm concerned, and I support the
right of non-believers, believers, and anywhere in between to state
their case... but the holocaust won't be disproven. I'll point out the
nature of an Israeli created disservice thet helps feed the beast in
just a paragraph or so

I mean Americans *believe* and listen to George Bush's hateful diatribes
that have brought war frenzy to this nation and caused, is causing, the
deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in Iraq alone... but only
until recently, when they got bored with it because it wasn't as
advertised on tv, which could no longer screen any footage without
bodyparts dangling from bridges and blownup humvees in the background.
No one gets ostracized or arrested for that... I mean we are trying to
do a good thing in Iraq, if only those darn shiites and sunnis and kurds
could get along!
Now, about that 'disservice'
I heard a bbc report about a week ago wherein they interviewed a
Palestinian being financed by Iran to run a mobile museum specifically
about the holocaust. I ripped it to an mp3 but I never processed it and
eventually scrapped it. But during the interview, the Palestinian fellow
stated that he went to an Israeli run school and they taught the
Palestinian students *nothing* about the holocaust.
Israel must be looking for a specific target audience for their national
ptsd/victim syndrome schpiel. I'm jewish, and I'm tired of hearing it.
Sick and tired of it.
I'm not the only Jew that feels that way and it's a disservice to the
jewish religion to live in, literally require, the past, to exist in the
present. It's perverse, but imho most marketing strategies have an
element of perversity and the israelis *are* quite advanced in the
behavior mod/pr area of expertise.
It shows in their " 'K' street lobbyist with an UZI" attitude regarding
bad PR.
OK... maybe they won't bring the UZI to the congressional office buildings.
However, one might consider that Israel has large quantities of
weapons-grade Anthrax and sociologically hasn't progressed very far
beyond the stern gang/irgun at an institutional level. Think about that
next time a congressional office get anthraxed.
But my point... Yes, there IS a point: There is a holocaust happening
right now. It's called the western invasion of Iraq.
There may not be 6 million dead... yet. But after the disease, the
children without families having shortened lifespans due to inadequate
care and sanitation in a society where community is broken by war.
Rotten food due to lack of ice or refrigeration, Soooooo many other
factors of mayhem being committed RIGHT NOW to Iraqis.
I think it's callous and assinine to even suggest the holocaust ended
when the nazi regime went down. Cynical, sick, and opportunistic.
