of troops on their way to Iraq and (2) stretching out the period of
time that troops spend in Iraq has the potential of permanently
breaking the US volunteer armed forces. Some might see that as a good
thing...

This plan fits in with Bush's statement that the
problem in Vietnam was that the US did not stay long
enough and do enough. I guess it is irrelevant that
the US people might become restive again.
