The American Friends Service Committee is urging "peace supporters to organize events in their hometowns the day after the 3,000th U.S. military death in Iraq is announced." The AFSC Web site <http://www.afsc.org/3000/> says that "[t]here are currently 262 events planned in 44 states and counting." Probably none of the 262 events can get 3,000 activists out to hold 3,000 candles. -- Yoshie <http://montages.blogspot.com/> <http://mrzine.org> <http://monthlyreview.org/>
