Sounds a bit fishy doesn't it?

Especially given that Chavez was on his way there himself shortly
after and could have packed it in his own plane which, presumably,
wouldn't require a close customs exam. There also has been the US
refusal to extradite the suit to Argentina. While I definitely would
not rule out stupidity on the part of some chavists, this is a weird
one. Whatever happened to big denomination bills, electronic
transfers and other neat ways to move money?
