Hi Michael,

I took the OPST training course in Barcelona earlier this year and found
it very worthwhile. If you're serious about wanting to learn/expand your
Pen testing skills and understand many of the issues beyond just the
technical like planning, budgeting, contracts and the legal side then I'd
highly recommend you check it out - it's well beyond anything I come
across in the usual books/literature or vendor/hacker courses. What I
liked most about the course is how it encourages you to develop a broader
mindset (and skill base) than just point a scanner - run an exploit and
refer to the CVE's on the write up and the 5 days was very hand’s on.

If you do go, I'd suggest you brush up on your Linux and re-read the
OSSTMM 2.0. And it's always worthwhile to ask plenty of question up front
from the course trainer so you get a feel for what he/she is like - what
experiences he can bring to the table and what you can expect by doing it.

Hope this was helpful.
Tom.
