Is anyone working on the Render extension? I understand that Solaris

It's SPARC that has the issue here. Most of the engineers in the
Solaris kernel group run either SPARC desktops or amd64 machines.
There are a few folks w/ Macs laptops, but most people have x86 or
amd64.
I only wish NetBSD sparc64 was as stable as Solaris and had decent SMP support
:-)

If you use a ATI or Nvidia PCI framebuffer , you can prob. get
xorg up and running on SPARC and get the XRender extension.
The old SPARC graphics group is no more, essentially.
