Hi,
I've a problem on Solaris 8 with CPU measure !
If i make a prstat or a ps (/usr/bin & /usr/ucb), I have the following result :
- 4.4% : vxconfigd
And if I make a top I have :
- 47.49% : vxconfigd
I should divide top result by the number of processors (Here 4 : V490) : 11.87%
for top.
Maybe I should take the prstat rather than top... but I saw another thing !
A = SUM(%CPU of each process) with prstat or ps
B = SUM(%CPU of each process) with top
C = SYS+USR with vmstat (or iostat or sar)
Result :
A = 15.6%
B = 43.13%
C = 50%
Why is there a such difference between prstat and top and why top seems to be
beeter here ???
Thank's for replies...
CedBer
