It sounds like the support for the PCI-X card is great, however, PCI-e ports are much easier to come by, and I would think provide better support. If it wasn't too much more money wouldn't it be better to go with the SAS adapter?
I would think it's newer, faster, better, etc. However, would like someone who knows OSOL/Solaris better to share any caveats and if anyone is using the SAS card with normal SATA drives, what adapter/cabling did you need to make it work?
