Hi Stephane,

Yesterday I built a new kernel for a POWER4 machine (initially running
SLES 10 SP1) from your latest git repository. It built ok, though I did
have some strange errors during the mkinitrd that I've seen before and
never really resolved.

In any case, the kernel does boot, but is very unstable, usually staying
up for only a few minutes of use, and crashes within the first few tests
I run the PAPI ctests (which use perfmon).

Unfortunately, I don't have more details than that at this point. This
POWER4 machine that I tested on doesn't have a monitor that I can use to
get a stack trace.

So this is mostly a heads up that there may be some problems. I will
rebuild the kernel on another machine where I have better crash dump
ability. The problems may or may not reproduce there, though.

More later.

- Corey
