I am currently working on an machine with Xeon e5310 processors.
cat /proc/cpuinfo , I got the following message:
vendor_id : GenuineIntel
cpu family : 6
model : 15
model name : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5310 @ 1.60GHz
stepping : 7
When I compile the kernel 2.6.28, I enabled PMU suuport:
* Include: Perfmon2 performance monitoring interface
* Include: Enable perfmon statistics reporting via debugfs
* Include: Support for Intel Core processor
* Include: Support for Intel perfmon
Then I install libpfm-3.7 pfmon-3.7
But pfmon report the following error:
no detected PMU support type=63.
Where am wrong?
