Hi, I modified the patch "Cell support for Perfmon2 (direct PM register access)" that I had posted before for patch "PowerPC/Cell Updates" by Kevin. These patches contain some modification for linux-2.6.22 and some bug fixes.
However, this patch doesn't correspond to SMP. Moreover because the volume of the patch becomes to be huge, only "PPE signal group" is included this time. Kevin, could you review these patches? 1/3 The patch replaces rtas_reset_signals() and rtas_activate_signals() with pfm_cell_reset_signals() and pfm_cell_activate_signals() respectively according to the platform identification. 2/3 It is a main body of pfm_cell_reset_signals(), and pfm_cell_activate_signals(). (in the new file: perfmon_cell_signals.c) 3/3 The patch maps the MMIO registers for PM signal groups setting to the memory. (SPE/SMF gropus are not included.)
