I've had such a horrible time finding decent list archives for the
various lists I'm on over the years that I had started to archive
most of them myself. Then gmail came along :)
Now I sub my gmail address to the mail lists as well as my primary
mail accounts. This way I can both archive the lists and have a
*really* good search engine help me find stuff, plus, my local
account can be used for basic correspondance to the lists (since
gmail doesn't support exmh or emacs clients :)
Perhaps we should have every list owner get a gmail account for
archiving purposes and convince google that there should be additional
read-only access credentials to these :)
(the other major advantage to the gmail account is that I can get at
it from anywhere :)
