I simply moved the mentioned thread macros into comments and could install
successfully (again: I'm no XS guru and do not
really know what these macros did). They are to be found in the lines the compiler
reported (2 occurences).
I think this happens from time to time because most of us did not compile their perl
for threading. (Honestly spoken, I
did not recompile it WITHOUT yet only because of all the modules I would have to
reinstall then.) I do not use perl
threads yet, and I can wait for more threading support in Event. But I want to let you
know if the module is not
installable somewhere because I think INSTALLATION should work out of the box even if
the perl is threaded.
