i am having a bitch of a time getting 5.6 working with event on my old
solaris 2.6 box. first 5.6 and cpan don't like each other which is well
known but this is my first experience with that combo. second, i just got
event installed and it core dumps on my first use of it in stem.
this is the current event.pm .76 on solaris 2.6 perl 5.6 and gcc.
dunno what info i can send you on this. some random thoughts are to
clean out any older modules and code, doing fresh manual builds (cpan.pm
is not handling things well), etc.
any ideas?
