Sysadmins’ hairs grow grey over stuff like this.

Hapless users are completely overwhelmed with it.

Tests should NEVER EVER fail without a really good reason.

The only ones who can deal with it relatively well are the Perl
developers who themselves write modules and understand the
mechanics well enough to be able to make a sound call.
