I have run under HP-UX and Digital's Tru64, but not under Solaris. The
easiest way I've found is to use the CPAN module. Hopefully it is already
on your system. The syntax is
perl -MCPAN -e shell
If you do not have the CPAN module installed, I'd suggest you install it
first -- manually -- and then use it in the future. Fortunately, I have not
had to install modules manually. Because of this, I can't help much if CPAN
isn't installed on your system already.
The first time you run CPAN as shown above, it will require configuration.
I found the defaults did the trick.
