Hello,

I downloaded "ActivePerl-5.8.8.816-aix-5.1.0.0-cc-255195.tar.gz" on
ftp://ftp.activestate.com/ActivePerl/AIX/5.8/.

I have several problems.

1°) I decompressed the file with "gunzip" and use Tar. At the middle on the
file I had a checksum error. I used the option ignore checksum.
The command broke. So I use a XP with Winrar, and I make another package
(foo.zip). I decompressed it . no Problem.
2°) I installed the soft. The manifest is wrong. I changed :: by __ or the
reverse.
3°) Well but ...

I remember that an installation with SunOs 8 I had 1°) and 2°) not 3°)
