Thanks guys,. Gary, I've got Roth's other book on scripting for administrators - Guess I need to pick up the one on standard extensions as well. Actually ended up writing a batch file using a resource kit tool that another reader recommended, now to go back and it right with Perl.<GRIN>

Anyone got any hints on remotely checking membership in the administrators group on the a local (not domain) machine account? Everthing I look at either has to be executed on that local machine or is geared toward checking domain groups.
