I agree with you completely.  If you can't post your original code, then
post some proof-of-concept code that illustrates the problem you're having.
If you can separate out the part that is giving you the problem, then you
might not even have to ask the list.  If you still do, then there is
probably someone out there that can help you.

I completely understand your concerns.  Just pull the relevant lines, and 
paste them in to your message.  There is no need to post entire scripts or 
programs, besides, that can indeed lead to security breaches.  

You could also do what I do: When completing a script, I make a generic 
copy of it, and post it to my GeoCities page.  Most of it is not very high 
quality, but all work, and are as secure as I needed them to be.
