Ive used ActiveState's PerlApp, which comes as part of the Perl Dev Kit, for
almost a year now. You should check it out. There are some other goodies
in there that you might find interesting, but the PerlApp part is worth the
price by itself to me.

Subject: Question about perl2exe

Hi all,

I wrote a program in Perl that I wanted to convert into an .exe file
using
perl2exe. I have done this numerous times before, and those times it
worked without any problems. However, I recently ran into some problems
when I did this to my latest script. The only difference this time is
that
my script uses the Win32::Lanman module. This is also my first time
that I
used Win32::Lanman. Perl2exe will convert my script into the .exe file.
However, when I run the .exe file, I get the following error message:

#perl2exe_include C:\Perl\perl2exe\service_checker.exe
Unrecognized character \x90 at C:\Perl\perl2exe\service_checker.exe line
1.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever run into this problem? Also, are
there any other programs available that will convert a Perl script into
an
.exe file?

By the way, I'm using Perl v5.6.1.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
