Timothy,

If you download the Platform SDK from Microsoft it includes a tool
called OLE/Type Library browser or something of that nature.  Using this
tool, you can view the Type Libraries and glean the ProgID from the
definition.

Hopefully, someone knows of a programatic way of retrieving this
information.
