Larry,

Are you on NT?

I have the same problem on NT, but not on Win2k.

Not just Perl services either. There are some commercial products
that won't start automatically on NT as well.

Subject: Starting a Service with Win32::Daemon

Hi
I have set up several perl programs as services. I basically followed
what
was in the book Win32 Perl Scripting by Dave Roth and everything worked
great. I can start the services manually with no problem. The problem is
that they do not start when I reboot the machine I have them set to start
automatically but they do not. I have to go into services click on the
service and then tell it to start.
How do I get my services to start when the machine starts up?
Thanks
Larry
