What a coincidence...I've just finished wrestling with similar stuff.

The IIS metabase stores things like that, and I believe the IMAP port is one
of them. In the metabase, there's a key called
/LM/IMAP4SVC/1/ServerBindings. The default value is 143. I assume that's
the IMAP port?

If so, you can set it from a perl script by invoking mdutil.exe from your
script. You can find mdutil on the Win2k CD in the i386 directory as
mdutil.ex_ It doesn't get installed by default, so you'll have to manually
extract it.

So, from your script, just run mdutil set imap4svc/1/serverbindings ":143:"
or whatever you need the port to be.

Hi,

Is there any way I can reset the IMAP port using PERL.I have an exchange 5.5
server which at times hangs IMAP port and only solution would be to REBOOT
:-(

Thanks in advance.
