i must be missing something obvious. i've been trying to initiate a shutdown from a startup script on XP, and i'm having no luck.
Tried both shutdown.exe and Win32::InitiateSystemShutdown. The former indicates a lack of privilege, i'm unable to get a real error message out of the latter but it's probably the same problem/reason. So, used the domain GP to give SYSTEM (and even Everyone:) the "initiate shutdown" and "remote shutdown" privileges, but that doesn't seem to help?! i'm sure i'm missing something obvious (especially since i've seen this work on W2k) and would appreciate a hint :-) As a side question, does anyone have a recent build of AdminMisc? (one that'll work w/ 5.8.0) _______________________________________________ Perl-Win32-Admin mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
