One of the first questions I asked years ago when I was learning Perl 4. I
don't think I ever got an answer, but what I do is set the "lines left on
page" format variable to 0 to force the page break:

$- = 0;

Next write will be on a new page.

Bob.

Hi ,

does any one know how to insert a page break when
formatting a report? Using the select operator to
change the number of lines per page isn't very accurate.

thanks,

John
