Many thanks for your prompt reply.

I tried searching to see if I had somehow gotten a delimeter into the value, but
couldnt find it anywhere.

I have added your line of code but unfortunately the problem is persisting.  The
value looks perfectly valid in the registry.

I'm wondering if the problem isnt necessarily in the variable, but in the syntax
I use to insert it somehow?
