First of all thanks to everyone that replied. Sorry for not responding earlier, had a small crisis going on here. I have plenty to go through now and do some more testing.
Speaking of that, I just installed Dave's new version of Win32::AdminMisc. So the following might interest him... Alas, I got a "The dynamic link library MSVCR80.DLL could not be found in the specified path... ". And then Perl reported : ===> Can't load 'C:/Perl/site/lib/auto/Win32/AdminMisc/AdminMisc.dll' for module Win32::AdminMisc: load_file:The ===> specified module could not be found at C:/Perl/lib/DynaLoader.pm line 206. at servico_sgr.pl line 14 ===> Compilation failed in require at servico_sgr.pl line 14. ===>BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at servico_sgr.pl line 14. BTW, line 14 is "use Win32::AdminMisc;" My perl app is running under W2K, with SP2 and the Resource Kit installed. Its currently at : ===> This is perl, v5.6.1 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread ===> (with 1 registered patch, see perl -V for more detail) ===> Copyright 1987-2001, Larry Wall ===> Binary build 630 provided by ActiveState Tool Corp. http://www.ActiveState.com ===> Built 20:29:41 Oct 31 2001 Later, /Luiz George Para: "Dave Roth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Messenger, "Dave Roth" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Mark" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Patrick J. I have a debug version of the updated DLL if you want to try it out. What version of Perl do you use? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Messenger, Mark Sent: Monday, July 14, 2003 9:08 AM To: 'Patrick J. "Slow" is the difference between a few minutes and a few hours of runtime, barring threading. I hate to think that I would have to write a parallel to WMI as a local machine service to be able to quickly poll this information for my domain. Come to think of it, that would kill 2 birds with one service...:) -----Original Message----- From: Patrick J. Good point; I had missed that one. - Pat _______________________________________________ Perl-Win32-Admin mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
